She was the Union's best pilot. Now she can't trust her own mind — or anyone in her squad.
The story began as an award-winning short film — a tightly crafted proof of concept that won the Douglas Trumbull Award for Special Effects and earned critical acclaim on the festival circuit. Seattle PI called it "Grade A. One of the best of the bunch."
The short was the spark. Demon Star is the full fire — a feature-length expansion of the universe, the characters, and the story. With a proven concept, an award-winning proof-of-concept, and 20 years of filmmaking behind it, the feature is ready to fly.
Commander Liberty Johnson-Lee is the Union's most feared interceptor pilot — disciplined, decorated, and lethal. When her captain denies her long-promised shore leave, she's pulled into a deep-space strike mission against weapons factories orbiting Algol, a binary star system the crew calls the Demon Star.
What begins as a routine bombing run becomes a descent into paranoia, betrayal, and fractured reality. One by one, her crew members begin turning on each other — and on themselves. Are they being manipulated by the enemy's psychological weapons? Or is something far more disturbing happening inside their own minds?
"Grade A! One of the best of the bunch. It helped fill the need for all the Star Wars and Star Trek lovers in attendance. It had everything we can identify with — the overbearing boss, the captain who just wants to get his pilot home, and the pilot who desperately wants to return to the ship."

Think Das Boot at 40,000 light years: claustrophobic, character-driven, and shot through with the kind of human detail that makes the impossible feel real.
